In my opinion, whoever came up with 'Sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me' had a hole in the head, because as you know, words do hurt. But there is a little truth in this phrase, because here at Little Words of Advice (LWOA), I give you advice, maybe 'caused by words. Maybe your BFFL told you that you should dump that girl you've been making friends with, or you've upset your girlfriend, who knows? Words are words and advice is advice.
Sometimes the best thing we need as a little support, some advice and someone to be there for us, and most the time a kick in the behind. What I mean is that you need to believe that things will turn out for the better. For example, a few years ago I lost a little toy lion I adored called Leo in London and I was devastated. My Mum said, "Don't worry, we can get you another one." And put an arm around my shoulder and took me to Hamleys... and I ended up with a 3ft jaguar called Jazz. He's a great dance partner and I used to walk him around the village with his paws fastened around my neck with a hairband and he'd ride on my back. I'm a little old for that now and I'd be seen as a physcho. =P... But anyway, although I miss my Leo I adore my Jazz!
